How to Remove “Ads by Media Player” Pop-ups? (Adware Removal Guide)

Several pop-up advertisements keep on appearing on my browser. It embeds itself on left, right, and lower portions of the browser and bearing the label “Media Player.” I did try to look at the extensions installed on my browser and saw this Media Player 1.1 installed by Enterprise Policy. Removing the check mark didn’t stop the ads from showing. Deleting the extension also didn’t help. Although I have successfully stopped the ads by installing ad-blocker, however, after restarting the computer, it re-appears again.

I also notice that the extension has a not below it stating that “This extension is managed and cannot be removed or disabled.”

Please help me get rid of Media Player 1.1 extension virus from this PC. I cannot browser the web freely. Also, this thing is slowing down my Internet connection.

In this post, we will show you how to remove Media Player and stop “Ads by Media Player” pop-ups.

About “Ads by Media Player” Pop-ups

If “Ads by Media Player” in-text and pop-up ads keep showing up when you surf the web, then there is an adware or potentially unwanted program installed on your computer without your knowledge and permission. Once installed, it will add browser extension or add-on to your web browser (IE/Firefox/Chrome) so that it can inject various ads on the webpage you are visiting.

Immediately after being infected, all forms of ads flood your browser. All those ads are aimed to promote unpopular and unwelcome games, questionable applications, and other products, thus the cybercriminal can get pay-per-click revenue.
