About Delta Search

Delta Search works in form of browser add-on, as well as by replacing the search engine and web homepage/ new tab page.  Delta Search redirects are often caused by reckless PUP bundling install. That is to say, if you download some software, freeware especially, and it is likely the software comes bundling some toolbars like Delta Search toolbar, mixi.DJ search toolbar, WhiteSmoke toolbar, etc. These toolbars can all cause your web search redirected to delta search or conduit search.

Please note that delta search page may show different over time.

To reveal the truth, Delta Search is actually owned by Conduit company, which so far has released so many low-rating toolbars or community bars that users think these things are annoying, unwanted and even risky.  And also that is why sometimes the Conduit search comes together with the Delta Search issues. Actually they feature the same and the removal methods are the same as well.

Is Delta Search Safe or not?

Delta Search is neither a virus nor a malware. However it is hardly to say it is safe to use. It is for sure that this Delta Search is annoying with its unwanted constant redirects. Furthermore, Delta Search will record your searching keywords if you use it so as to collect what your interests and your search habits.

Symptoms

Delta Search redirects often come with install of below PUPs:

Once installed, there will be an add-on associated with delta search installed to Firefox and your web search engine/search provider will be changed to Delta search and so does the new tab page/homepage. Whenever you open your Firefox, you will be taken to Delta Search which looks like a real search engine. The more tricky way is that recently some careful users may notice that they always see their google.com new tab page or homepage comes up as google.com/webph (local google address adds the /webph), however the truth is that this is actually an changed address by conduit search and this is really tricky. Everyone should be alerted about this.

Apart from constant redirects and hijacking, Delta Search will also slow down your web browsing. The most terrible thing is the Delta Search can even come back even after you repair your browser settings. And this is really a headache.
