Step 2. Uninstall Related PUP from Control Panel

Note: To completely fix the issue, you need to remove all PUP related to, and below are some of them:

Sweetpacks Toolbar, Sweetim Toolbar, Search Protect by Conduit, Conduit Toolbar, etc. 


For Win 8: Press Windows key or hover the cursor in the bottom left of the screen to access Start Menu →locate the Sweetpacks Toolbar or related PUP → right click on the icon→ Click Uninstall from the appeared toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

For Windows 7/Vista: Click Start →Click Control Panel → Locate Programs, and click Uninstall a program→ find the Sweetpacks Toolbar or related PUP from the opened list → Locate the item you want to uninstall and right click to open the dropped menu, where you need to click Uninstall/Change. If there comes an confirmation, click Yes to proceed.

For Windows xp:  Click Start → Select Control Panel → Click Add/Remove Programs → Find the Sweetpacks Toolbar or related PUP from the opened list → locate and right click the item which you want to uninstall → click Remove to proceed the uninstall.


Step 3. Repair Browser Settings in IE, Firefox and Chrome


To repair browser settings, generally there are mainly three aspects in fixing browser settings in IE, Firefox and Chrome: remove add-on and related search engine, fix the homepage. Now to conveniently repair the browser settings, you can use this tool-Anvi Slim Toolbar. (download: )

Instructions: 1. Download and install 2. Start the program and click Manage on its main screen. 3. Find the Sweetpacks Toolbar add-on/plugin from the appeared list, select them to remove. 4. Switch to the main screen and click Repair button to repair the homepage and search engine.

IEInternet Explorer Users

1. Remove from IE

Tools> Internet Options> General > Replace with a desired domain like> Click OK to complete.

2. Remove Search engine

Tools> Manage Add-ons> Search Providers> Choose to set a preferred one as default search provider by clicking Set as default button> Remove from the list.



Restart the Internet Explorer to check. That’s it.

Firefox Mozilla Firefox users

1. Remove add-on

Open Mozilla Firefox, click on Firefox button -> Add-ons -> Extensions tab, locate the Sweetpacks toolbar or related extension and click Remove.



Besides, you also need to check for the plugin tab on the add-on manage window, where you should remove any plugin related to the Sweetpacks Toolbar, like the Conduit, etc.


2.  Remove the from the homepage

Click Firefox button to select Options->Options from the dropped menu, nd then locate General tab and reset the homepage by either entering your desired homepage like or click on Restore to Default button. When finished, click OK to save the change and exit.



3. Remove from the search provider list.

In the opened Firefox window,find the search box and click the right place as shown in below image to drag out a dropped menu from there to select Manage search engines…



Then there will comes out a windows as shown in below picture. Click on Sweetpacks Customized Web Search and then click Remove to remove it. Click OK to save the change and exit the window.


4. Configure Firefox

Open a new blank tab in your Firefox, and type about:config in the address bar to open a window as shown in below picture.

Then,  on the appeared window, type Sweetpacks in the search box to find any items with value containing Sweetpacks Toolbar or other keywords of the PUP from list there and highlight the item, right click on it to select Reset, one by one.


When finished, restart the Firefox to check. That’s it.

chromeGoogle Chrome users


1. Remove Add-on

Open Google Chrome, and click the wrench or bars icon to navigate to Tools → Extensions. Find the related extensions as the Sweetpacks Toolbar and related extensions. Locate the Sweetpacks Toolbar and click the Trash can icon to remove it.



2. Remove from homepage

On the opened window, switch to Settings as shown in below image and then under the On startup and Appearance area, click Set pages.  And also check the area of On Startup area for any page related to Sweetpacks or Conduit. If any, remove it.

3. Remove Search Engine 

Still on the Chrome settings window, find the search area and click on manage search engine button.

Then you will open a window like below picture. Firstly you need to select another search engine like as default in order to remove Conduit search.

Then click Done at the bottom to save the change and exit.

Restart the Google Chrome to check. And that’s it.
